A decommissioned airbase got a new life with the help of GBE. Now operating as a civilian and commercial airport, the 45,000 sf San Bernardino Airport re-design included two new passenger terminals, ticketing and check-in areas, passenger waiting areas, a new two-story 24,000 sf concourse, offices and baggage processing areas. GBE’s tasks included assessment of systems and efficacy, recommendations for equipment replacement, reconfiguration and reconditioning in light of Title 24 standards, as well as energy efficiency and integration with utilities.
