Pasadena Urgent Care

The renovation to this existing 10,500 sf project will provide two separate urgent care centers, each run by a different company. GBE redesigned the existing building to accommodate the two tenants with new HVAC, plumbing, and electrical design. In total, the building consists of 22 exam rooms, blood draw rooms, a medication dispensary, procedure rooms, and staff lounges for employees. The building will be applying for LEED silver status.

The HVAC units were picked with sound attenuation in mind to ensure that unwanted noise would not contribute to delicate procedures within the facility. Thermafusers were selected so that each individual exam room can be independently temperature-controlled according to the occupant’s needs.

Due to the stringent photometric requirements for an exam room it was necessary to provide enough light for all work and exam areas. GBE was able to accomplish this task while staying 10% below California’s stringent Title 24 requirements.
