Los Angeles Mission College Parking Structure

GBE completed the MEP design for this four-story, 380,000 sf parking structure. Able to accommodate over 1200 vehicles, the facility includes a high-end security system and “car counter” to inform entering drivers as to the number of available parking spots on each level. LEED elements include a recently completed “energy farm” that contains over 1100 photovoltaic panels, covers almost 17,000 sf and provides shade for vehicles parked on the roof. It is estimated that this installation will save the school over $80,000 in energy costs every year.
