Hollywood Bowl
Los Angeles, CA
GBE was proud to be chosen as the MEP engineering firm for the renovation of this Los Angeles landmark. Originally constructed in 1929, the Hollywood Bowl’s acoustic quality was limited and impeded the ability of performing musicians to hear each other while playing as an ensemble. The reconstruction included enlargement of the shell and stage area, improved acoustics, added backstage amenities for performers and added technical upgrades that enhance the musical experience for Hollywood Bowl concert goers. The project received the Civic Award from the Los Angeles Business Council at the 35th Annual Los Angeles Architectural Awards in 2005.
