Wolfgang Puck Kitchen for the Academy Awards at Hollywood & Highland

Hollywood, CA

As Wolfgang Puck is the reigning chef for the Oscars ceremony every year, Gotama’s MEP systems design for the 14,000 sf of kitchen space specializing in special events catering such as the Governor’s Ball was built to the chef’s specifications, in addition to the outdoor entertainment/pool bar. One of the kitchens is a certified kosher food preparation facility.

Motown Records Group

Beverly Hills, CA

Working with renowned fashion and interior designer, Cosimo Pizzulli, GBE created the MEP design for tenant improvements to the Universal Motown Records Group offices. The project was a 12,000 sf penthouse office suite located in Beverly Hills. One of the new design features included in the remodel is a listening lounge in which artists perform and showcase their work. With careful pre-construction planning and coordination, this project was completed on a fast-track in 60 days.

CDM Offices

Los Angeles, CA

As the LEED commissioning agent to CDM, GBE was engaged in preparing the certification documentation and advising the client and the building management on the MEP systems in the renovation of their 10,000 sf office suite in the historic Pacific Center in downtown Los Angeles. This goal of this project was to match the client firm’s commitment to sustainability within the existing envelope of this 1929 building. Working closely with the design team, the building engineer and the contractors, the space was stripped to the studs and refurbished using salvaged doors and ceiling tiles from other parts of the building and low-emitting paints and materials for the interiors, furniture and carpeting. Many energy-saving features were included to reduce energy usage. Just reducing the number of overhead lighting fixtures has reduced consumption by 25%.

Warner Brothers Studios

Burbank, CA

The three-story Building 34 on the lot at Warner Brothers houses offices for Sound Stage15. GBE was called in to retrofit the building with new HVAC and plumbing systems with spare capacity for the second and third floors and part of the first floor. Working diligently with the Warner Brothers facilities personnel, GBE was successfully able to retrofit the building while allowing for future capacity needs.

Hilton Suites

Orange, CA

The Hilton Suites Anaheim/Orange features an elegant 10-story atrium lobby with marble floors, waterfalls, modern furnishings and glass elevators. The hotel is situated 12 miles from John Wayne International Airport, near Disneyland and Anaheim Stadium. GBE handled the MEP design for the renovation of an exercise room, the addition of an outdoor pool and an outdoor bar area.
