This eight-mile waterfront stretch is the gateway to the second-largest natural harbor in the world. Phase I of the project includes development of a pedestrian-friendly promenade, increased public access to the waterfront and creation of various plazas and gathering spots. Phase II will include the design of signature buildings for the Port. GBE performed MEP master planning for the entire waterfront, interfacing with downtown San Pedro and “Interface Plaza,” a three-acre public site where downtown San Pedro intersects the waterfront at Sixth Street.
