Fire Station 94

Los Angeles, CA

Crenshaw Fire Station 94 is part of the Los Angeles Fire Department, which serves and protects more than four million people in the City of Los Angeles. Fire Station 94 is renovating and expanding its 1960 two-story facility to better serve the surrounding community and to support the current and future fire protection demands. GBE provided MEP design to renovate this existing 10,000 sf station along with a 15,000 sf addition to its existing facility in order to accommodate up to twenty firefighters and house one ladder truck, three fire engines, two ambulances, and one fire chief vehicle. A 2,000-gallon diesel fuel underground storage tank (UST) will be installed for vehicle fueling and would be maintained by the City’s General Services Department.

In addition to this station remodel and expansion, GBE provided MEP design for a new 1,350 sf stand-alone conference center building. This multi-purpose room with indoor classroom and outdoor training area will provide a place for required firefighter and paramedic trainings. The entire fire station is being upgraded to a regional fire station using LEED criteria.
